Black Theatre Alliance of Philadelphia

The Black Theatre Alliance of Philadelphia is a coalition committed to supporting and uplifting the Black theatre artists in the Greater Philadelphia area while challenging and encouraging the Greater Philadelphia theatre community to be more proactive in their commitment to equity and equality.

Germantown Mutual Aid Fund

Germantown Mutual Aid Fund is a community-generated gifting fund created to help stabilize our community and reduce financial hardships brought on by impacts of COVID-19. 

Philadelphia Eviction Prevention Project

In 2017, City Council, the Mayor and legal services agencies partnered to create the Philadelphia Eviction Prevention Project (PEPP), an innovative project to assist tenants facing eviction through legal representation, financial counseling, a live hotline, a court help center, community trainings & educational materials.

Philadelphia Community Bail Fund

The Philadelphia Bail Fund is a revolving fund that posts bail for people who are indigent and cannot afford bail. Our goal is to keep families and communities together and vigorously advocate for the end to cash bail in Philadelphia.

 

Queer Writers of Color

Shade Literary Arts is literary organization focused on the empowerment and expansion of literature by queer writers of color. The Queer Writers of Color Relief Fund is for queer writers of color who are in critical need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Red Umbrella Fund

The Red Umbrella Fund is the first global fund guided by and for sex workers. Launched in 2012, the Red Umbrella Fund joins together funders and sex workers in support of the human rights of sex workers.

Oshun Family Center

The core mission of Oshun Family Center is to provide racially concordant care to members of the Black community that are struggling to cope with life transitions. Especially those impacted by postpartum mood changes, birth, and racial trauma. It is our goal to center the experiences of Black people and create a welcoming space for healing and refuge.

West Philly Bunny Hop PHL

The West Philly Bunny Hop was started out of necessity. Jena Harris & Katie Briggs launched Bunny Hop on April 4, 2020 the weekend before the Easter holiday, hence the name. What began as a response to community asks for mutual aid as Philadelphia began to confirm cases of Covid-19 in the spring of 2020 has grown to an organization feed over 350 families a week. In that time (and with your donations) we have secured warehouse space, partnered with regional farms and food distributors, and support our neighbors with what we think everyone deserves: fresh produce. nourishing meals, and essentials.

Philadelphia Cultural Fund

The Philadelphia Cultural Fund (PCF) was established in 1991 when Philadelphia’s Mayor and City Council authorized the creation of an independent nonprofit 501(c) (3) corporation whose mission is to provide funds to enhance the cultural life and vitality of the City of Philadelphia and its residents.
